Study Plan for Month 1

Revise the Syllabus and refresh Basic Concepts
Start
your preparation by revising the syllabus: Quantitative Ability, Data
Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension and
refresh your fundamental
concepts and basics.

It’s a
good idea to start your preparation by glancing through the CAT 2017 exam pattern.

Practice
Practice basic and
advanced concepts by referring to the syllabus. This is also a good time to go
through and analyse previous years CAT exam papers.
CAT Practice sets will give you a
brief idea on how you can solve the problems in less time and with greater
accuracy. Practicing will help you learn some shortcuts which can help you to
solve problems faster.Solve as many different kinds of problems as possible
from different topics.
CAT 2017 - 2 Study Plan for Month
· CAT Mock Test
Once
you are clear with your basic and advanced concepts, start taking CAT Mock test. Mock tests your preparation, tells
your current level of preparation, determines your speed and accuracy and
highlights your strengths and weakness. Take Mock Test every alternate day.
· Revise section wise topics
Learn tables, basic and advanced
formulas and solving methods and shortcuts for Quant. Maintain a sheet and
enter all the formulas, shortcuts and notes for a quick revision before the
exam.For data interpretation, take time to solve crossword puzzles, Sudoku,
kakuro, brain teasers and riddles. This will also help you develop logical
thinking.Dedicate 1-2 hours every day to read newspapers (The Hindu, The
Economic Times), Magazines (India Today), articles, books (fiction and non
fiction). Reading is a great way to enhance your vocabulary. Also focus on
grammar.
In short, last 2 months just focus on practice, topic
wise revision and Mock Tests!
