SSC CGL 2017 Tier-2 Exam- Expected cutoff marks:
SSC
has dropped the Interview process from the selection procedure since last year.
This means no Interview burden for the candidates but this can also mean a rise
in the exam cutoff marks. However, SSC CGL Tier-2 cutoffs will also depend on
the following factors-
• Total no. of candidates applied for SSC CGL
posts
• No. of vacancies to be filled
• Difficulty level of the exams
• No. of candidates appearing for Tier-2 exams
• Elimination of Interview round
To
calculate SSC CGL Tier 2 expected cut off for
this year, let’s have a look at previous year cutoff marks.
For general posts, the category-wise cutoff for 2016 was as
follows:
Category
Unreserved
OBC
SC
ST
OH
VH
HH
Ex-servicemen
Cutoff

363.25
341
333
336

287.5
We are expecting the cutoff marks to be somewhat closer to
previous year i. e. 2016’s cutoff with some variation here and there. There can
be a difference of 10-20 marks at the maximum. However, the cutoff marks are really
unpredictable and will purely depend on the assessment made by SSC.
